Butler County Engineer Greg Wilkens said plow drivers will be out in force ready “to treat high-volume, well traveled roads,” and work their way to the lesser traveled roads during the day.

Meteorologists say the storm system that is passing through Butler County has already brought a lot of rain to the area and with the falling temperatures the roads may look “wet” but could be icy.
Motorists in Hamilton were taking it slow on the roads and no reports of any major accidents had been reported in the city or in the county as of 3 p.m.
Police are reminding people that are out on the roads this evening that the icy conditions and possible snowfall will lead to hazardous conditions and they should allow for extra space for other drivers.
