Miamisburg approves deal to bring 100 jobs from West Carrollton

An incentive plan to bring more than 100 jobs to Miamisburg has been approved.

The Miamisburg City Council voted Tuesday night to approve a forgivable loan of up to a $200,000 to help Production Design Services Inc. move its 80-job operation from West Carrollton with a promise add 25 more slots within three years.

The company now located on Fame Road provides automated equipment, robotic systems, special machines and tooling, according to its website.

“Integrated into their client specific design plans are a series (of) robotic, parts positioning and/or track line systems that allow a manufacturer to automate all, or portions of a production system at their facility,” according to a memo from Miamisburg Development Director Chris Fine.

“They also have a line of robotics welding solutions and positioning systems that are sold to manufacturing facilities,” according to the memo. “Their various systems are in the automotive, agricultural, military, heavy machinery and steel fabrication industries.

PDSI has about 60,000 square feet in West Carrollton, but plans to build a 100,000 square foot site on 19 acres on Technical Drive in the Interstate Tech Park near Byers Road, Miamisburg records show.

The company’s annual payroll is about $4.5 million, records show. Adding 25 positions within three years would increase its payroll to at least $6.5 million, according to Miamisburg records.
