3-month-old found not breathing, later dies in Middletown


The death of a 3-month-old baby this morning in Middletown is not believed to be suspicious, according to police.

A mother called 911 about 5:10 a.m. from a residence in the 2900 block of Lefferson Road after finding the baby girl not breathing, said Lt. Scott Reeve.

Emergency workers did CPR and transported the infant to the hospital, but the child died.

“There will be an autopsy, but there is nothing to indicate anything suspicious,” said Reeve.
