New bar-restaurant hiring in Lebanon

A sign advertising that hiring has begun is the latest sign of new life at a bar-restaurant about to reopen on Broadway in Lebanon.

The Broadway Barrel House is the name of the new business opening in the remodeled building that previously housed Mio’s, a pizza and Italian restaurant that operated for years.

Over the holiday weekend, the sign looking for workers replaced "Stay Tuned…" on the marquee of the building, just north of the city's historic downtown and across Broadway from Berry Middle School.

In March 2015, we were told the new owners were expected to open a family restaurant later in the year in the building, across from Berry Middle School in Lebanon.

The new owners, doing business as the Brew Vault, had applied for a liquor license from the Ohio Department of Liquor Control and were expected to remodel the building.

The remodeling, including new windows and exterior and exterior renovations, began last year.

We hope to talk to the owners today.
