Oakwood High School to host kick off event at Lane Stadium

Oakwood High School will host their Fall season kick off event at Lane Stadium this year, according to a release from the district.

The free event will see the Oakwood Lumberjacks and Jills take the field Aug. 12 at Lane Stadium, featuring scrimmages with several OHS teams.

Oakwood boosters will also be on site, selling spiritwear and Grinders will be on hand to sell concessions.

Games start at 9 a.m. with a football tri-scrimmage between Oakwood, Fairborn and Carroll. At noon, the field hockey alumni scrimmage will take place.

At 5 p.m., the boys’ junior varsity team takes on Centerville, followed by a game between the boys’ varsity team and OHS alumni at 7 p.m.
