Planets, stars you may be able to locate this week

DAYTON —Despite the cold temperatures you'll have to deal with, early birds may want to head out a few hours before dawn and try to find a planet.

The waning gibbous moon should be bright in the southwest sky and to the bottom right of the moon you should be able to see a very bright looking star which is actually Jupiter.

Near Jupiter will be an actual star called Spica. The clouds may make it hard to find but it is worth a try.

There is another planet that will be very bright at the end of you week, we will have the latest on that online and your WHIO Weather App.

Don't forget to share your photos.
