In total dollars, Kettering’s property gain of more than $235 million leads the 27 other communities.
“The Montgomery County property value appraisals certainly confirm what we know to be true of the Kettering community,” Mayor Don Patterson said. “Our neighborhoods are highly desirable. Our schools are excellent. Our retail centers like Town & Country are thriving after recent reinvestment.”
“All of this is reflected in the very strong housing market in Kettering and in the county’s property value appraisals,” he said.

In 2011, residential property values in Kettering dropped 8.4 percent. In 2014, those values dropped again another 5 percent. In 2017, the city rebounded with a 9.99 percent increase in residential property values from 2014.
Overall, the county has seen increases of $1.2 billion in property values.
