2 suffer cuts, bruises when their car hits 2 houses in Dayton

Two women suffered cuts and bruises when their car slammed into the porch at one house and against the side of a second house in the 800 block of Valley Street.

A Dayton police officer said the four-door, black sedan hit the front steps of the first house, which is on Valley Street, and continued on to hit a house next door on Stapleton Court at Valley Street.

The officer said the driver will be cited for failure to control. The car will be towed.

Neither woman, both of whom are in their 20s, was seriously injured. There was no word on how they would get home.

Fire and police were dispatched just after 8:30 p.m. on a report of a vehicle that hit a structure.

Valley Street and Stapleton Court were closed for a time to allow a wrecker to remove the car.
