Vandalia’s Skateworld celebrates 40 years


VANDALIA – During the Oct. 17 Vandalia City Council meeting, Mayor Arlene Setzer proclaimed Oct. 18 as Skateworld of Vandalia Day. The proclamation was given to owner Charles Clark.

Skateworld of Vandalia opened its doors in 1976, offering recreation in a safe and positive atmosphere. The roller rink has partnered with several Vandalia businesses and schools throughout the years, hosting late-night skates and social skates.
