“Our jets practice night maneuvers as part of their annual training they need to keep up on which allows them to deploy anywhere in the world,” Hughes said.
The wing is based at Toledo Air National Guard Base in Swanton, Ohio.
The fighter unit was temporarily based at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in August 2013 while the runway at its home base was repaired.

The Miami Valley base also temporarily hosted the 1st Special Operations Wing last August. The unit flew CV-22 Ospreys out of Wright-Patterson on night training missions.
