Xenia hires former Beavercreek oil company director

The city of Xenia has hired a new assistant city manager.

Jared Holloway has been hired to replace the former assistant city manager, Ryan Duke, who was appointed to be the finance director following the retirement of Mark Bazelak.

Holloway says he is “very excited” to work for the city where he was born and has lived his entire life.

“The city has several challenges that local leaders have been working to overcome, and I look forward to adding my experience to help tackling these challenges,” he said. “As a local Xenia resident, I have a vested interest in our community. Not only will I serve Xenia in this position, but I am committed alongside my family, friends, and neighbors to see the Xenia community grow and develop.”

Holloway formerly worked as director of pricing and supply for the Duncan Oil Company, based in Beavercreek. His duties there included managing fuel purchases, analyzing the market and competitors and determining customer pricing methods.

Holloway earned a bachelor's degree in business marketing at Wright State University and a master's degree in business administration at Cedarville University, according to the city.

Holloway formerly worked at Wright State as a business manager from 2012 to 2014, according to his Linkedin profile.
