Company to triple its Miamisburg jobs, move from Dayton

A Miamisburg company plans to triple the number of jobs it provides in the city as part of a $7 million investment, documents show.

Staco Energy Products intends to add 44 jobs with the construction of a 100,000 square foot facility proposed on Technical Drive. The manufacturer of power equipment has 22 employees at its corporate headquarters at 1229 Byers Road, records show.

Staco has a manufacturing plant at 301 Gaddis Blvd. in Dayton, according to its website. Its corporate office was located in that city before it announced in late 2013 a move to Miamisburg.

City records show the company plans to consolidate operations at the proposed new site in Miamisburg as part of a move that will give it a $4 million payroll in that city by 2021.

As part of the move, Miamisburg City Council tonight is expected to approve the acceptance of $150,000 in Montgomery County Economic Development/Government Equity funds.
