Most Ohioans distrust self-driving cars

When it comes to self-driving cars, most Ohioans would prefer to see eyes forward and hands on the wheel in the lane next us.

Seventy-six percent of those surveyed by AAA said they feel “very unsafe” or “somewhat unsafe” about sharing the road with a self-driving car.

“This cutting edge technology is changing the way we think about travel and safety on the roads for drivers and passengers,” Cindy Atrican, public affairs manager with AAA, said in a news release.

Nearly three-quarters of drivers are afraid to ride in a self-driving car and I can relate.

I took a spin in a self-driving Tesla last year- and when I say spin I mean cruising at about 70 miles an hour on I-70 with hands off the wheel and feet away from the gas or brake.

It was terrifying- initially from the lack of control but even more so when I became comfortable with taking my eyes completely off the road.

How do you feel about self-driving cars? Let me know in the comments.

It costs how much to raise a child?

You know it’s not cheap- but do you know how much it costs to take care of your kiddo/ kiddos every year?

How about $13,000 - and that doesn’t include college.

According to new USDA projections, the average overall cost of a child born in 2015 will be $233,000 when they reach the age of 17, that’s down about five percent from a child born the year before.

The biggest expenses are housing, food, and education.

The USDA has this handy calculator which factors in your location, income, and how many children you have to determine a more precise number for your situation.
