Idaho huntress posts controversial picture with dead giraffe

An Idaho woman has sparked outrage on social media for posting numerous pictures of various kills that she made in South Africa, including an impala, a warthog and a giraffe.

Idaho huntress Sabrina Corgatelli posted the photos to her Facebook page from a recent legal hunt at a private conservancy in South Africa.

In an interview with "The Today Show," she described her feelings about the hunts:

"To me it's not just killing an animal, it's the hunt. There's a lot of personal things in my life that have happened recently that have added to that. I won't get into that or disclose those feelings. Everybody just thinks we're cold-hearted killers, and it's not that. There is a connection with the animal, and just because we hunt them doesn't mean we don't have a respect for them. Giraffes are very dangerous animals. They could hurt you seriously very quickly."

Her Facebook page has sparked outrage, with some commenters posting personal information about Corgatelli, including her place of employment. She has also taunted those who criticize her actions:

"To all the haters, stay tuned, you're gonna have so much more to be p***ed about."

"Everything I've done here is legal, so how can you fault somebody because of their hobbies?" Corgatelli said on "Today"

Hunting in Africa is in the public eye after two other incidents drew fire. A Pennsylvania doctor is accused of illegally shooting and killing a lion with a bow and arrow and Minnesota dentist James Palmer was accused of illegally killing famed lion Cecil in Zimbabwe.
