4-year-old has ‘date’ with police officer

A Massachusetts police officer had what the police department is calling “the best dinner date ever.”

Sgt. Steven Dearth was grabbing a bite during his dinner break at a Panera Bread a few weeks ago when Lilly, 4, walked in with her parents and brother, ABC News reported.

She went up to say hi to Dearth but then decided she was going to have dinner with the police officer instead of her family.

Dearth allowed the little girl to join him during his break. Afterward, he presented her with a junior police officer sticker and showed her his cruiser, ABC News reported.

She even asked the officer if they could have a playdate "in a few days," the Hingham Police Department posted on its Facebook page.

It means a lot to Police Officers when people say hi, especially when children approach us. Four year old Lillian came...
