New homes plan near Great Miami River tops $45M: By the numbers

A multi-million dollar proposal by Moraine to build more than 200 homes on 110 acres of city-owned land near the Great Miami River is in the works.

The city has created a panel to oversee the project, the groundwork of which is underway with the clearing of land on Pinnacle Road.

The city is nearing a deal on the project with Ryan Homes, which may begin construction this year, Moraine City Manager David Hicks said.

The proposal calls for about 110 homes to be built off Pinnacle and nearly as many off Vance Road near Frank Nicholas Elementary School, he said.

Here are some numbers, according to the city, about the project:

-$39 million: Estimated planned investment in housing;

-$6 million: Estimated investment in infrastructure;

-860: Estimated number of residents the housing would have at full capacity;

-35: Number of homes per year Ryan has pledged to build;

-7: Number of years estimated to complete the project.
