NEW MENU ITEM: White Castle unveils new Bacon Jam slider

Columbus-based chain also introduces 2nd vegetarian option

White Castle announced today that it has beefed up its slider lineup with two new limited-time options: the Bacon Jam Slider with Smoked Cheddar, and the Dr. Praeger’s Black Bean Slider.

Returning along with the two new sliders are a previous customer favorite, Mac & Cheese Nibblers. These menu items will be available a through June 1st, or while supplies last, at participating restaurants, White Castle officials said in a release.

This news outlet reached out this morning, April 19, to a spokesman for White Castle, who confirmed that Dayton-area and northern Cincinnati-area locations ARE offering the two new sliders and the returning side dish.

White Castle operates locations in Trotwood, Franklin, Middletown, South Lebanon and West Chester areas, all of which are participating in the limited-time expanded menu.

“Only a true slider innovator can create experiences that keep customers craving for 96 years and counting,” Jamie Richardson, vice president of White Castle, said in a release.

Dr. Praeger’s Black Bean Slider joins the Veggie Slider as vegetarian offerings at White Castle. It is made with black beans, red peppers and corn. Customers can choose from a selection of sauces on the side, including Ranch, Sweet Thai, and Honey Mustard. Dr. Praeger’s is a New Jersey-based frozen-foods company known for its veggie burgers.

The bacon-jam slider is a mixture of bacon, onions, brown sugar and spices, topped by a slice of smoked cheddar cheese, and served on The Original Slider.

For a limited time, customers can order a Cheesy 10 Sack — any 10 cheese sliders with your choice of New Smoked Cheddar, American or Jalapeno cheese — for $5.99 with any purchase online or in the restaurant chain’s app.
