New Miami Twp. trustees to take oath; board electing new leaders

Miami Twp. trustees are set tonight to choose new leadership as two new members take their oath.

A swearing-in ceremony for Donald Culp and John Morris will be held prior to the 6 p.m. meeting, at which a president and vice president of the board are set to be voted on.

Culp and Morris defeated then-President Andrew Papanek and Trustee Eric Flasher in November. Trustee Doug Barry served as board vice president in 2017.

Papanek was elected in November 2013 and Flasher was appointed in the spring of 2017 after Robert Matthews Jr. resigned.

Trustees have also scheduled an executive session to discuss pending litigation, personnel issues and to consider buying land. The meeting is scheduled at the Miami Twp. Government Center, 2700 Lyons Road.
