Attention, attention, please. There is a semitrailer locked, running and unattended in the parking lot at Hara Arena.
At least there was. The driver, who didn’t answer his phone for two days, apparently parked the rig and walked away instead of being in Pennsylvania, where his dispatcher indicated he was supposed to be.
A low coolant light was flashing on the dash and some smoke was filtering off the engine. The truck’s owner, in Florida, asked police if they could get inside and turn it off. He’d send another driver to retrieve the truck.
A tow company was contracted to get inside, which it did, turning off the truck before any damage could be done. The truck was secured and the former driver was in the market for a new pair of shoes instead of tires.
