A person believed to be an earlier witness of a domestic violence incident on Hillgrove Avenue was found passed out in a vehicle in the driveway at 8:30 a.m., both front doors open and his shorts pulled down to expose private areas, both front and back.
Police tried to revive him and had a difficult time.
When the male was finally awakened, he stepped out of the vehicle and his shorts fell to his ankles. As he pulled them up, he said he was awaiting a friend to drive him home.
He was unsure of where he was, but said his mother was a doctor in Vandalia. Police called, but had to leave a message when no one answered. The subject, 23, said he could drive home, but given his apparent alcoholic state and the fact he couldn’t find the keys to his vehicle, that was impossible.
Eventually, he became argumentative, couldn’t keep his shorts up and was booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
If he had been a witness to the previous night’s dispute, he was in no condition to give an account.
