The Collaborative Against Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation is hosting a series of events on Friday, June 14, in recognition of Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
At the Wesley Center, 3730 Delphos Ave., activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. include a speaker on elder abuse, resource tables, free blood pressure checks and blood sugar testing.
At the Twin Towers Place, 250 Allen Street, from 2-4 p.m. the National Conference for Community and Justice for Greater Dayton will present “Healthy Conversations + Healthy Friendships = Healthy You.” Refreshments and community resources will be provided. All seniors and those who love and care about seniors are welcome. Resources tables will be there with literature on elder abuse and other senior-related topics.
