A male honking his car horn at 2:17 a.m. in a residential area in the 800 block of Union Road appeared to have consumed more beer than that which was spilled on the passenger side of his vehicle.
In the middle console was an open container of beer, and when asked to exit the vehicle, he swayed from side to side like an exotic dancer — which he wasn’t.
He did produce an ID from the Dominican consulate, which later proved to be false. He had said he was waiting for a friend who fell asleep in the apartment complex, but couldn’t give a correct address.
Maybe something was missing from the translation. The man could not speak English very well.
Not being able to locate anyone to take care of the man, and fearing he would continue to honk his horn if left in the car, the officer took him to the Montgomery County Jail, where it was discovered he wasn’t who he said he was, and than immigration had a hold on him.
But the honking stopped.
