12,165 children in foster care
1,918 foster care kids who are older than 8 and have been in for two or more years
$27,480 average annual cost to the state per child in foster care
Partnership between state of Ohio and The Dave Thomas Foundation:
$2.3 million to hire 24 recruiters in 51 counties
focus on kids 8 and older who have been in foster care two or more years
15 to 20 children per recruiter
intensive search through child’s history to find potential adoptive family
