Wilmington College’s 18th President Jim Reynolds
Education: Bachelor of arts degree, Drake University; master’s degree in zoology from DePauw University; Ph.D. in biology from Illinois State University.
Family: First in his family to graduate college; married to wife, Sue, for 33 years; two daughters, Erin, a sophomore at Wilmington College, and Amanda, who recently earned a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University and is a therapist/office manager for The Solstice Clinic in Los Angeles.
Experience: Joined Wilmington in 2007 as vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty; appointed as Wilmington’s interim president August 2012; served as vice president and dean of faculty, Midland Lutheran College, Fremont, Neb.; held various teaching and administrative positions at his alma mater, including associate dean and interim dean of the College of Pharmacy; awarded “Teacher of the Year” six times.
