The Ohio State Highway Patrol said initial evidence points to pilot error as the cause of the plane crash at the Vectren Dayton Air Show that killed a wing walker and her pilot last week, an investigator and an accident report said.

Our military affairs and aviation reporter Barrie Barber witnessed the air show crash in Dayton last month and is continuing to cover the story. The National Transportation Safety Board could release a preliminary report on the crash as early as this week and we will continue to stay on this story.

Materials also may be mailed or dropped off at the Dayton Air Show office, 3800 Wright Drive, Vandalia, OH 45377. The air show office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
