ODOT sponsors ‘matchmaking’ event for I-75 project businesses

A matchmaking event to provide disadvantaged and small businesses an opportunity to meet with potential bidders of the upcoming major reconstruction of Interstate 75 in Hamilton County construction project is being offered by the Ohio Department of Transportation.

The ODOT Division of Opportunity, Diversity and Inclusion, Office of Outreach, will sponsor a matchmaker directly following the pre-bid meeting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at ODOT District 8, 505 S. State Route 741, Lebanon. It is expected to run from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The goal will be to establish relationships for this project and other future ODOT road construction projects.

“ODOT’s needs in building and maintaining the valuable transportation system we have are vast. Creating an opportunity for DBE businesses to meet prime contractors is one step to build long-term partnering to assist small and disadvantaged businesses to grow and be sustainable” said Terry Bolden, administrator, ODOT ODI Office of Outreach.

Pre-registration for the workshop is preferred but not necessary. Those interested are asked to register by noon on Tuesday at https://i75reconstruction.eventbrite.com or by contacting Juleda Stotz, ODOT Office of Outreach, at 513-933-562 or Juleda.Stotz@dot.ohio.gov.
