2 people struck by car near bar in Springfield


A man and a woman were taken to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle on East Main Street in Springfield.

The two people were struck by a silver Subaru WRX, driven by a teenager, on East Main near North Sycamore Street.

The driver told police that the victims came out of Kinsler’s Cafe, 820 E. Main St., and stumbled into the roadway.

The Subaru’s windsheld was busted and there were dents evident on the roof.

The man and woman were taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police are continuing their investigation.
