Caesar Creek Lake: After a slow start, Caesar Creek has turned on. Fishing has been very good for crappies, saugeyes and muskies. Crappies are spawning, so there is plenty of action in 2-4 feet of water around brush and other structure. Saugeyes have been caught by jigging nightcrawlers on the flats, trolling a spinnerbait around the island or fishing close to the bank with a nightcrawler about a foot off of the bottom. Bluegills are in the trees about 6 feet deep. Some 48-52-inch muskies have been caught with musky-size crankbaits in shallow water near the Ohio 73 bridge. Look for wood to catch bass with plastics and spinnerbaits.
