Game notes: The Marauders earned their first victory of the season and their first in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference last week, beating Miles College 25-21 on homecoming in Wilberforce. Michael Wilson threw a touchdown pass and ran for another score as they rallied from a 14-13 halftime deficit. Central State improved to 1-3 in the conference, and it was the first SIAC loss of the season for Miles (2-3, 2-1). … Lane won its second straight game last week, beating Albany 37-31. Quarterback Chris Rini leads the SIAC with 13 touchdown passes.
Wooster (3-1) at Wittenberg (4-1)

Game notes: The 18th-ranked Tigers won their fourth straight game and kept pace with Wabash atop the North Coast Athletic Conference (both are 4-0) by beating Denison 38-20 last week. … Wittenberg quarterback Reed Florence leads the NCAC with 14 touchdown passes. … Wittenberg beat Wooster 17-7 last year and has won four straight games against the Scots. … After finishing 2-8 last season, Wooster has wins over Oberlin, Hiram and Allegheny. Its only conference loss is to Wabash (48-14). Quarterback Richard Barnes passed for 173 yards week against Allegheny and ran for 150.

Game notes: Urbana won its third straight game last week, beating Concord 22-10 on homecoming at Blue Knight Stadium. D.J. Mendenhall threw for 387 yards and three touchdowns, two to Joe Webb. One of Webb’s touchdowns went for 75 yards. Mendenhall also set a school record with a 98-yard touchdown pass to Marc Johnson. Mendenhall and linebacker D’Gary Wallace were named Mountain East Conference offensive and defensive players of the week. Wallace had nine tackles Saturday. … Urbana (4-1 MEC) is a half game back of Shepherd (5-0). West Liberty’s (3-1) only league loss is to Concord.
Baldwin-Wallace (3-2) at Wilmington (0-5)

Game notes: No. 1 Mount Union shut out the Quakers 62-0 last week. Wilmington was held to 95 total yards. … Wilmington and Marietta are the only winless teams in the Ohio Athletic Conerence at 0-4. … Baldwin-Wallace beat Wilmington 49-17 last season. … The Yellow Jackets have wins over Muskingum and Ohio Northern in league play this season with losses to John Carroll and Otterbein.
