Schools shut down over a foul forecast, so Friday’s cancellations were no surprise. But I did a double-take when I read that Wright-Patterson AFB gave most of its employees a day off to go shopping. Apparently that sequester backlog has been erased. C’mon, Air Force! The military shouldn’t be intimidated over 4 inches of snow.

I doubt San Diego will stay classy today when the Giants come to town. Eli Manning will be the quarterback trying to spoil the Chargers’ playoff hopes. You might recall that San Diego selected Manning with the top pick in 2004 draft. Manning made it clear that he would not play for the Chargers, who drafted him anyway and traded him to New York. Peyton’s Little Brother was asked about it last week and played dumb, saying: “I just can’t remember; it’s been 10 years. It slipped my mind.”
