I was supposed to attend last Wednesday’s Reds game, but one of my friends had a family reunion. Turns out we missed an epic performance by Cincinnati catcher Corky Miller, who looks like he should be playing in a beer softball league. Sadly, the heroic Corky will be in Louisville when our Boys Day at the Ballpark is rescheduled. What’s wrong with a family reunion at the ballpark?

Timberwolves rookie Shabazz Muhammad was sent home from the NBA’s four-day rookie transition program last week for reportedly having a female guest in his dorm room. Muhammed, who had only 27 assists in 32 games during his one season at UCLA, probably argued that in an attempt to expand his game he made a pass at the young woman and she caught it. Muhammad will be required to attend the course next year.
