A late touchdown and a second-half shutout was what Lebanon needed to defeat Fairmont 23-15 in high school football Friday.
Lebanon won despite a big night from Fairmont’s Chris Rhoades, who rushed 20 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns.
The Warriors led by two in the fourth, then put the game away when Tanner Clarke scored on a 1-yard run. Clarke was 6-of-16 for 114 yards while rushing seven times for 39 yards.
Mitch Turpin had 20 carries for 93 yards. He scored both first-half touchdowns for Lebanon.
Alex McCarty had five catches for 73 yards.
CJ 45, Roger Bacon 28: CJ trailed 14-3, then scored 42 unanswered points to recover from last week’s loss to Purcell Marian. Jacob Harrison was 23-of-27 for 383 yards and three touchdowns. He connected nine times with C.J. Riazzi for 211 yards and one touchdown.
Alex Livingstone had three catches for 93 yards and two touchdowns. Antwand Wilson had 24 carries for 125 yards.
Roger Bacon quarterback Ruggiero DeLuca was 16-of-32 for 163 yards. Eli Nixon rushed 20 times for 146 yards and two touchdowns.
Beavercreek 45, Fairborn 21: Beavercreek led 16-0 at the half thanks to a first-quarter safety and touchdown runs by David Tipton and Allen Lawrence. Lawrewnce led Beavercreek with 26 carries, 209 yards and three touchdowns. He caught three passes for 99 yards.
Mike Berry was 6-of-8 passing for 162 yards. The Beavers out-rushed Fairborn 389-210.
Alter 24, Purcell Marian 7: Nick Coleman rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown for Alter. Tommy Ruff had a 24-yard touchdown run. Dusty Hayes hit Jordan George for a 53-yard touchdown.
Wayne 54, Vandalia 27: Wayne has scored 103 points in its two wins since suffering its only loss to Lakota West on Sept. 13.
Western Brown 42, Greenville 28: Greenville quarterback Clay Guillozet was 17-of-28 for 209 yards with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Ryan Eldridge rushed 21 times for 117 yards and a touchdown.
Allen Tabler had seven receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Western Brown quarterback Devyn Wood was 21-of-32 for 295 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Christian Dawson had 10 receptions for 167 yards and two touchdowns.
Sidney 69, Belmont 0: Sidney out-gained Belmont 355-91. QB Jordan Fox was 6-of-9 for 86 yards and three touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets. Eric Barnes had nine carries for 86 yards and three touchdowns.
