Your best bet might be reserving an electronic copy of the book, which has earned the ire of President Donald Trump and led his former chief strategist, Steve Bannon, to walk back some comments attributed to him in the book.

The Dayton Metro Library’s batch of 30 print and five audio versions are on back order, along with a second order, said Chuck Duritsch, external relations manager of the library.
“Dayton Metro Library patrons have a better chance of getting a digital version of the book via our free Overdrive download service,” Duritsch said. “We offer 36 copies of the book and 20 copies of the audiobook.”
Library staff can assist with electronic books in person at libraries or over the phone by calling 937-463-2665.
The book is flying off bookstore shelves across the nation and the Los Angeles Times reports that publisher Henry Holt & Co. has ordered more copies of the book it released early on Friday after Trump’s attorney tried to stop publication. Amazon’s website says it “usually ships within 2 to 4 weeks” and media reports say booksellers are running out across the country.

“We only received three copies and we sold out of them within the first two hours of being open,” said Amanda Christ, manager of Half-Price Books in Beavercreek.
“It’s pretty rare. I can’t think of the last title that sold out that quickly,” Christ said.
The book has been controversial since excerpts were leaked last week to multiple news organization. Wolff reports portrays Trump as uniquely unprepared to be president and surrounded by staff who doubt his competence.

Bannon, who also served as Trump’s campaign chief executive officer in 2016, is particularly critical. According to the book, Bannon said a meeting set up by the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya and others in June 2016 was “treasonous” and “unpatriotic.” Bannon, now says that remark was aimed at former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort, not Trump Jr. Bannon spoke after a key backer, billionaire Republican donor Rebekah Mercer, moved to distance her family from Bannon.

Trump responded to Wolff’s book via Twitter, saying the book is, “Full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist.” And Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House press secretary, called it a “complete fantasy and just full of tabloid gossip.”
Author Wolff and Holt’s parent company, Macmillan, have said they stand by the book.

Local Barnes and Noble and Books & Company store managers declined comment on whether they have copies of the book. But Liz Harwell, director of merchandise for Barnes & Noble’s corporate office, said customers rushed to order the book in stores and online.
“At the moment we’re fulfilling reservations, and we expect to receive inventory every day this week to begin meeting the demand as quickly as possible in our over 630 stores and online,” she said in an email.
