Two more new pizza restaurants coming, both in Greene County

Rapid Fired Pizza — living up to its name yet again — this morning announced it has signed a lease to open a new pizza restaurant in Xenia, even as it gears up to open a location in Beavercreek in the coming days.

The new Xenia Rapid Fired Pizza will be located at 40 S. Progress Drive, off West Main Street, in 2,400 square feet of space that previously housed a Snap Fitness location, according to Kelly Gray, co-founder of Rapid Fired. Gray said the Kettering-based pizza chain studied the market and is pleased to join in the development boom going on in Xenia.

Meanwhile, six miles away in Beavercreek, workers are putting the finishing touches on another Rapid Fired Pizza that could open as early as next week, Gray said. That restaurant is located at 3301 Dayton-Xenia Road just west of North Fairfield Road, in a retail center that is new construction. The restaurant will occupy 2,600 square feet of the multi-tenant retail space that is adjacent to a new AAA auto service center.

Rapid Fired has opened 16 new restaurants in less than 20 months and expects to have as many as 35 open by the end of the year, its founders have said. In addition, the pizza chain has signed agreements with developers that could bring as many as 175 more locations to Kentucky, Indiana, North Carolina and South Carolina, company officials announced last month.

Rapid Fired restaurants have a quick-service concept, utilizing a serving line in which customers pick out the toppings for their 11-inch thin-crust or 9-inch pan pizza. Customers can choose from eight sauces, eight cheeses, more than 30 toppings, and 19 dipping sauces to build their pizza, or try one of the 10 craft pizzas on the menu.
