WATCH: Snow squalls dust Dayton then disappear

The snow came down hard and wind blew strongly on Tuesday in the Dayton area. And then it would just seemingly disappear in an instant. The sun would peak through the clouds for a minute or two and the wind would die down.

If you waited 20 or 30 minutes the process would start over again.

“Snow squalls,” StormCenter7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini says. “A snow squall is a burst of snow that quickly drops visibility levels to zero. They are usually accompanied by gusty winds, which only make visibility worse as snow blows and falls simultaneously.”

If you don’t like snow accumulation, this squall is for you. Otherwise, remember that winter has arrived in Ohio, just give it a few days.
