Would you call your kid this? Top 2016 baby names include a Star Wars-inspired jump

When it came to naming babies in 2016, most U.S. parents chose Noah and Emma, according to the Social Security Administration's 2016 list of baby names. The biggest jump in boys names, Kylo, can be credited to Star Wars.

Emma and Noah are the most popular American baby names for the third straight year. Elijah is the only new name in the top 10 for the 2016 list.

In Ohio, Emma was also the most popular name for girls in 2016, but Liam got the distinction for boys.

The names Kehlani and Kylo made the largest jump in popularity among the top 1,000 names.

The girls name Kehlani rose 2,487 spots from 2015 to number 872, believed helped upward by Kehlani Parrish, a singer/songwriter nominated for a Grammy in 2016. For boys, the name Kylo jumped 2,368 spots from number 3,269 in 2015 to number 901. Kylo Ren, was a character in the 2015 film “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
