Butler, Xavier among schools interested in Chance Moore

Chance Moore, a 6-foot-5 combo guard from Louisville, Ky., received a scholarship offer Tuesday from the Dayton Flyers. He announced the offer on Twitter.

Moore, a senior at Beckley Preparatory School in Beckley, W.V., is the latest 2018 recruit to receive an offer from Dayton. UD assistant coach Ricardo Greer visited Beckley Prep on Monday, according to the school’s Twitter account.

Moore visited Xavier on Monday morning and also met with Western Kentucky upon returning to school. He took an official visit to Butler last weekend and received a scholarship offer.

Moore averaged 16 points as a senior at Fern Creek High School (Ky.). He was going to sign with Cleveland State, he told Voice-Tribune.com, but decided to attend a year of prep school to get ready for college.

The Dayton Flyers have received one commitment from the class of 2018. They are waiting on word from several other recruits in the class.

• On Monday, Dayton offered a scholarship to Anfernee Simons, a 2018 recruit who decommitted from Louisville, according to a report by Jacob Polacheck, of D1Vision.com. Simmons, of Orlando, Fla., is the 12th-ranked recruit in the nation.

• Jack Clark, a 6-5 guard in the class of 2018 from Cheltenham High in Pennsylvania, announced Monday he will make his college choice Thursday. Dayton, Penn State, La Salle, South Florida and Massachusetts are in the mix.

• Anthony Nelson, a 2018 recruit who visited UD on Sept. 25, told ZagsBlog.com he may make one more visit before announcing his college choice. He visited Seton Hall last weekend. Clemson, West Virginia and Minnesota also made his final list.
