Area Prep Results for Nov. 28: Straw leads Lebanon in opener


Alexis Straw poured in 29 points, Rachel Perry added 15 and host Lebanon outlasted Hamilton 65-61 in its girls basketball season opener on Monday.

Perry also grabbed 14 rebounds for the Warriors.

Hamilton (0-2) was led by Cici Riggins with 21 points while DuSuela Rodriguez added 13.

Beavercreek 83, Fairborn 44: Keaira Youngblood drained five three-point baskets on the way to 19 points and Cori Dilsavor added 17 points for ‘Creek (1-0).

Badin 44, Preble Shawnee 33: Emma Broermann scored 14 points for Badin (2-0). Nicole Sims and Jenna Lovely each led Preble Shawnee (0-1) with nine points.

Talawanda 54, Winton Woods 20: Addie Brown singlehandedly outscored Winton Woods with 25 points. Hannah Hurst added 10 points with 9 rebounds and Katlynn Woodruff had 12 rebounds for the Braves (1-0).

Trotwood 47, Chaminade Julienne 43: Taj Thompson paced Trotwood (2-0) with 20 points and Mercedes Woodward added 11. Dallas Jones scored 14 points for CJ (1-2).
