Writers at Scout.com's Stadium Journey ranked the stadium experiences at 761 venues across the nation in 2016, and UD Arena finished in the top five percent, No. 37 to be exact.

“Among the impressive college basketball history, incredible game atmospheres, and enjoyable and affordable fan experience, Dayton’s UD Arena should be on any college basketball fan’s radar for an upcoming visit,” wrote Paul Swaney, of Scout.com.

The Dayton Dragons’ Fifth Third Field also landed on the list at No. 84.

“ The team blends professional amenities (for fans and players alike) with the more casual environment of minor league baseball,” Swaney wrote. “A night at a Dragons game offers experiences to suit many different types of fans and appears to serve them all well. Dayton's Fifth Third Field offers one of the great baseball experiences in the minor leagues, and the Dragons’ sellout streak is well-earned.”

UD Arena was the second-highest rated college basketball venue. Phog Allen Fieldhouse at Kansas ranked seventh overall.

Ohio did well on the list. Huntington Park, home of the Columbus Clippers, ranked 17th. The Cleveland Indians’ Progressive Field ranked 18th. Ohio Stadium ranked 35th. Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland ranked 40th. Great American Ball Park ranked 78th.
