Bengals add two more players to injured lists

A Cincinnati Bengals running back is not medically cleared to begin practice, but it’s not Giovani Bernard.

The Bengals on Friday placed halfback Cedric Peerman on the Active/Non-Football Injury list, and put undrafted rookie wide receiver Monty Madaris on the Active/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Both players will continue to count against the 90-man roster limited, and both are free to return to practice as soon as they are medically cleared.

It’s an encouraging sign that Bernard, who tore his ACL on Nov. 20, is not on the list, although he likely will be eased into action after missing all of the offseason workouts while rehabbing his knee.
