Bengals corners log substantial snaps in preseason opener

Players expected to start the regular-season opener usually don’t see a lot of action in the preseason opener, but that was not the case for cornerbacks Darqueze Dennard and William Jackson, one of whom likely will start Sept. 10 against Baltimore while Adam Jones serves his suspension.

Dennard and Jackson each were on the field for 40 0f of a possible 70 plays Friday night in the 23-13 victory against Tampa Bay at Paul Brown Stadium. Only safety Clayton Fejedelem, who got the start for the injured George Iloka, played more (43) among defensive players.
