Missouri guard C.J. Roberts to transfer out of Tigers program

C.J. Roberts, a guard for the Missouri basketball team, has decided to transfer out of the Tigers program.

Roberts, a freshman who the Missouri coaching staff planned on redshirting this season, committed to the Tigers back before current head coach Cuonzo Martin took the job.

Martin released a statement on Roberts’ intentions to transfer:

C.J. Roberts will transfer from the Mizzou Men’s Basketball program. We wish him nothing but the best, and we will assist him in anyway possible.

Per The St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Roberts’ father, Craig, said that his son will be looking at a program where he can earn more playing time.
