Ohio State releases intense Week 1 trailer ahead of Indiana game

Ohio State is taking ownership of its past in its Week 1 trailer.

The Buckeyes hype video ahead of its season opener with Indiana begins in a surprising place: Glendale, Arizona, where Ohio State’s 2016 season ended with a 31-0 loss to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl. The video shows clips of Clemson taking a knee on the final play and Dabo Swinney raising the trophy as downtrodden Buckeyes leave the field.

The video then switches to clips from Ohio State practices in 2017 with highlights from last season sprinkled in.

“Don’t make excuses. Don’t blame any other person or any other thing,” a narrator says. “Take ownership of everything in your world, of your team, of your future. And take ownership of your life.”

The 2017 Ohio State season starts Thursday in Bloomington.
