Saquon Barkley, Josh Jackson lead Big Ten Walter Camp All-American picks

Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, Ohio State center Billy Price and Iowa linebacker Josey Jewell and cornerback Josh Jackson were all named first-team Walter Camp All-American selections on Thursday night.

The Big Ten had 10 total All-America picks between the Walter Camp first and second teams. Wisconsin had four players named second-team All-Americans in running back Jonathan Taylor, offensive lineman David Edwards, tight end Troy Fumagalli and linebacker T.J. Edwards. Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa and Michigan defensive tackle Maurice Hurst were also second-team picks.

The entire Walter Camp All-America teams for the 2017 season can be found here.

Barkley and Jewell were named the Big Ten Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively, by both the conference and Associated Press.

With 10 All-American picks, the Big Ten had the second-most of any conference, trailing just the ACC’s 11 selections. Wisconsin’s four selections were the most among any program, while Clemson and Auburn both had three players between the two teams.
