SEC Memes: Jacob Copeland’s mom gets the meme treatment

Tennessee wound up on the positive side of a meme for the first time in a long time, as the SEC meme-makers had several targets to pursue during a week that featured National Signing Day.

Among the biggest stories to come out of the conference’s annual stockpiling of talent was Jacob Copeland’s decision to attend Florida — only to have his mother steal the show by walking out of the presser.

We cobbled together some of the best memes from around the South this week.

Special thanks goes out to the members of the Facebook page SEC Throwdown, in particular Zach Gooding, Chris Grace, Austin Hensley, Scott La-Roc Collins, David Leonard, Adrian Matthews, Wayne Puckett,  Lincoln Walters, Jimmy Welch and Mike Williams.

He was scheduled for his annual photo and video shoot for the footage that will be used on the scoreboard at Nationals Park during the season later on. It was...

They arrived from all corners of Uiseong County. They brought homemade signs, waved flags and screamed for every shot. They came to celebrate four young women from this farming community who have emerged as the most unexpected (and most gloriously bespectacled) stars of the 2018 Winter Olympics. On Tuesday afternoon, townspeople gathered inside the...

How social media has changed the game for NBA players

Stephen Curry has a rule with Twitter. Before he sends a tweet, he’ll re-read it at least once.  “If I hesitate for a half of a second, then most likely I won’t tweet it,” Curry told the Bay Area News Group.   Curry has written many drafts that have never seen daylight. Some were responses to fans, others were...
