Dalton replaces Brady in Pro Bowl

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton will play in his third Pro Bowl after being named today as a replacement for New England’s Tom Brady, who will not play due to the Patriots advancing to Super Bowl LI.

Dalton’s addition gives the Bengals five Pro Bowl selections, although wide receiver A.J. Green will not participate due to his hamstring injury.

Defensive tackle Geno Atkins, defensive end Carlos Dunlap and offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth will join Dalton in Orlando, Fla., for Sunday’s 8 p.m. game.

Dalton’s 4,206 passing yards in 2016 were the second most in franchise history behind the 4,293 he posted in 2013. Dalton threw for 18 touchdowns and eight interceptions with posting a a 91.8 passer rating.

He previously played in the Pro Bowl following the 2011 and 2014 seasons.
