Dunbar boys win 10th state track championship

Dunbar captured its most unlikely of double-digit boys state track and field team championships on Saturday. The Wolverines won just one relay and didn’t place higher than fourth in seven other events. But that was enough to beat runner-up Warrensville Heights 33-30 at OSU’s Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

It’s the 10th outdoor state title for the traditionally rich Dayton City League program. That ties Dunbar with Jefferson as the all-time area boys leader for state team titles.
