Former Bengals QB Boomer Esiason among best lefties in NFL history

Sunday was Left Hander’s Day, and the Bengals promptly celebrated former quarterback Boomer Esiason.

Esiason, now a CBS NFL analyst, quarterbacked the Bengals from 1984-1992. Esiason’s 80 wins are the third-most by a left-handed signal caller since 1950, trailing only Ken Stabler (96) and Steve Young (92).

His 247 touchdowns and 37,920 yards are best among lefties all-time. Esiason won MVP in 1988, and was ranked the fifth best player in Bengals history by NFL.com.
