High School Football: Dunbar standout makes college decision


Dunbar High School football standout Joseph Scates is headed to the Big 12.

Scates, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound wide receiver, on Sunday committed to Iowa State.

A four-star recruit, Scates is the 11th-best recruit in Ohio and the 55th-best wide receiver nationally according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Scates was in Ames, Iowa this weekend on an official visit.
