High School Football: Where is your team in our Week 9 Power Rankings?


Four area teams have clinched playoff spots heading into Week 9 of the high school football season. Already securing first-round postseason games are Clinton-Massie (Division IV), Coldwater (D-V), Marion Local (D-VI) and Covington (D-VII). All are top ranked in the Power Rankings except Massie, which is No. 2 behind Alter.

No. 2 Springfield will host No. 1 Wayne in a showdown of the top Division I Power Rankings teams.

Here’s who we think are the top area teams:

Division I

1. Wayne (7-0-1): d. Fairmont 35-0; at Springfield (6-2).

2. Springfield (6-2): d. Beavercreek 32-27; hosts Wayne (7-0-1).

3. Springboro (6-2): d. Fairborn 66-42; at Northmont (3-5).

4. Lebanon (6-2): lost 55-20 to Miamisburg; at Stebbins (2-6).

5. Beavercreek (4-4): lost 32-27 to Springfield; at Miamisburg (6-2).

Division II
